Agriculture, the Lazio Region in Bordeaux as a member of the AREFLH - Corriere dell'Economia association
The Lazio Region participates strongly in the general assembly of AREFLH, the European Association created in 2000 by French, Spanish and Italian regions to create a network representing and defending the economic and social interests of the regions and fruit and vegetable producers at the main European institutions.
Lazio is one of the strong Regions in the production of floricultural, horticultural and fruit and vegetable excellences in the Italian and European panorama. It is a great responsibility and an important challenge to have joined the Areflh, especially in a historical phase such as the current one, in which strong anti-European and protectionist winds blow and in which we are called, as Institutions, to defend the importance of working together for the common good and being together to look far.
The region at the forefront to protect the interests of producers and consumers, to give new impetus to a strategic sector, to strengthen markets, to promote food and quality and to make our agriculture a model of sustainability, one is needed. pro-European spirit, of confrontation and not of confrontation. However, a Europe that knows how to respond forcefully to the needs of each and every one, a Europe not weighed down and far from the territories but present and promoters of sustainable growth.
"The challenge today, we all know it well, is the reform of the CAP: the future of European agricultural production and the economy of the member states is at stake in this field. I think the role of Areflh is strategic, since the identification of joint action plans between producing regions and the dialogue with the European Commission and Parliament are essential tools for the defense and protection of the interests of this sector, as well as for the strengthening of the entire European agricultural production. Special thanks to the AREFLH president, Simona Caselli, for the positive and proactive spirit that sets her apart and for the professionalism with which she represents our country in an important and strategic role "- words of Enrica Onorati, Councilor for Agriculture, Promotion of the Supply Chain and the Culture of Food, Environment and Natural Resources, which took place this morning at the Assembly of the AREFLH European Association taking place in Bordeaux.Maria Francesca Di Martino, Di Martino Farms: "This is how a high quality oil is born"
