Otávio regrets Bordeaux's performance, but praises individual season - Gazeta Esportiva
Defensive midfielder Otávio ended his second season in European football last Friday. Bordeaux, the Brazilian team, ended their participation in the French Championship with an away win over Caen, by 1 to 0. With the result, the club finished the competition in 14th position, with 41 points added.
Despite the performance of the team below compared to last year, as Bordeaux finished the 2017-2018 season in 6th place, individually, Otávio has reason to celebrate. That's because the player more than doubled his number of games in the year, there were 21 games played last season against 43 this season. In addition, the defensive midfielder won team title status and participated in 33 of the 38 games in the French Championship.
However, what attracted the most attention were the number of tackles. The former Athletico was the player who stole the most balls in the competition, accumulating 127 on the foundation.
In Brazil, Otávio uses the vacation period to rest after his long season in Europe. “It is very good to be on the field playing, it is what I like to do most in life, but a rest is also important. Now is the time to relax, rest and be with family and friends, enjoy a lot because these days are rare. It's time to recharge my batteries to get stronger next season ”, he concluded.
