Tram D will be inaugurated on December 14 - Bordeaux Tendances
Tram D will be put into service from December 14, announced Patrick Bobet, President of the Metropolis, at the Metropole's back-to-school conference, this Monday, September 9. & nbsp; New milestone reached this Wednesday with the first tests initiated on the section which links the Mairie du Bouscat stations and the Cantinolle terminus.
Work to relocate the networks began at the start of 2016. After an initial experiment carried out in August, the Tram D line will be inaugurated on December 14 until the Town Hall of Bouscat.The first blank rotations started this month.
This new line will cross Bordeaux from the center to the west. The start will be at Quinconces, the tram will then run to the Cours de Tournon, Place Tourny, Fondaudège and Croix de Seguey streets in Bordeaux. Then it will cross the Boulevards, pass through avenue de La Liberation, route du Médoc and avenue de l'Hippodrome au Bouscat. It will continue on rue Jean Jaurès, then cross the ring road towards rue du Tronc du Pinson, avenue Picot, rue Gabriel Moussa, rue du Dées and finally avenue du Taillan in Eysines.
This Wednesday, in the presence in particular of the president of Bordeaux Métropole, Patrick Bobet, two tram lines will progress from the Mairie du Bouscat station towards the Cantinolle terminus in Eysines. Nine stations (Les écus, Sainte Germaine, Champ de course - Treulon, Hippodrome, Simone Veil, Picot, Eysines center, Les sources, Cantinolle) were built on this section of line of approximately 6.5 km- 4 km in double track to “Picot” station and 2.5 km in single track to “Cantinolle” terminus.This section of line D will be put into service during the first half of 2020.
